Version 2.0.1 (08.09.2024)
This is the first official release of ControlPilot version 2!
Many things have been fixed and improved, and there are new features:
- A new Overlay layout option: Flat. It is a perfect fit for the upper right corner of Pro Tools Edit window – and a cool new design for everyone else.
- New: Extended Volume Focus: Follow mute/un-mute/dim.
- New: Extended Volume Focus: Select a Volume Focus Base channel (Main/Phones 1-4). This is the channel the display returns to after the timeout ends.
- New: Device selection for multi-interface configurations.
- New: 3 different Channel Assignment strategies: Automatic from Device settings, Automatic from OSC names, Manual.
- New: Shortcut “Flip width on selected Playback channel”.
- New: Added HUI protocol to receive transport states from DAW. (Note that Pro Tools 2024.3 has dropped M-Audio protocol support).
- New: In ControlPilot 1, it was recommended to keep TotalMix OSC controller’s bank size at 8. ControlPilot can now handle 24 channels at once without performance drop.
- New: Adjustable HUD Overlay background color.
- New: Shortcuts: An option to filter for assigned keyboard shortcuts. This shortens the list so it’seasier to look up the shortcuts that are in use.
- New: Exit Overlay setup mode with the Escape key.
- New:TotalMix 1.96 and higher has a new setting “Save changes regularly (1 min)”. With this selected, ControlPilot can now get updated settings that are not communicated via OSC. This can make CintrolPilot’s integrations much tighter. As a starter, the manual ‘Refresh’ Button will not need to restart TotalMix if it has the new setting selected.
There are 2 important changes:
- The required minimum macOS version is macOS 12 (Monterey).
- TotalMix 1.96 introduced changes to OSC messaging, which means ControlPilot 1 does not run with TotalMix 1.96 and higher.
